Greetings from another Land
The Craicheads are a London based Irish band playing Celtic Classics, Country and Blues. This EP was recorded in 2018 at the legendary Rockfields Studios where countless bands have recorded songs which changed the music landscape forever. It was an honour to have my drums set up in the exact same spot as Roger Taylor had his kit when he recorded Bohemian Rhapsody. I also snapped a picture sat at the very piano Freddy Mercury played back in 1975.

This was a lockdown project launched by Ian Hoare during the summer of 2020. What was just a bit of fun turned out to be a collaboration of some excellent players. Ian wrote this song, demoed it and subsequently put it out to fellow musicians with the note: Does anyone fancy playing on this? We did! Everyone recorded their part at their home studio. The drums were recorded in a little studio by Motti Cohen, right next to Wembley Stadium.
